Happy summer in Drimnagh

                                          Lots of parish activities to celebrate the International Eucharistic Congress 2012.Parishioners joined with Canon John and Fr David in the various church services at Mourne road, There was also the visits to the RDS

and the pilgrim walk that saw us visit seven well known Dublin churches, James’s street, John’s lane ,Whitefriar street, St Ann’s in Dawson street ,Church street to  Saint Michans and finally to the Pro Cathedral

We were  privileged to witness the visit home to their native parish of  two brothers,Bishop’s Brian and Kevin Farrell late of Galtymore park. Bishop Kevin is the current Bishop of Dallas as well as the chancellor of the university of Dallas. Bishop Brian is currently Secretary   of the Ponifical Council for Promoting Chriatian Unity.Both brothers were speakers at the I E C at the RDS

We were also honoured with a visit from Fr Gerard Tyrell who was celebrating  25 years as a Priest

So far 2012 has been an excellent year and it’s still only July.

Get your check list for the 50 International Eucharistic congress June 10 -17 2012.
Take up the challenge to do the Eucharistic congress pilgrim walk
Encourage Eucharistic ministers to bring the Eucharist to the sick and housebound

Early morning Mass. Welcome to the lenten season 2012

Thirty to forty people put in the effort to attend the 7.30 morning Mass every week day during the lenten season
Celebrated in the intimacy of the church oratory, Canon John and Fr David keep the duration of the Mass to 20 minutes or so
for those who head off to work

Our lady of good counsel church,Mourne road welcomed a fine crowd on Sunday 5th February 2012 to celebrate The world day of the sick.
Archbishop Diarmuid Martin,DD., Archbishop of Dublin and Bishop Field headed a impressive gathering of a who’s who including more than twenty priests
and leading figures from Dublin diocese
